Why I Became a Therapist

Selecting a therapist is an important decision. I hope to give you a sense of who I am and why I do the work I do.

As a teen, my dream of becoming a therapist began when I was given the opportunity to complete a practicum with the Addictions Foundation of Manitoba. Through this work, I observed the positive impact of therapy, not only for the individuals but also for their friends and family. Since then, over two decades have passed and I remain committed to my clients and the continued pursuit of specialized education. My areas of expertise include anxiety, depression, trauma, wellness/coping strategies, among others.

After 10+ years practicing in downtown Winnipeg, I decided to launch my own private practice in 2020. Today I continue to work in collaboration with primary care providers, Psychiatrists, and other members of multidisciplinary care teams.

Please do not hesitate to reach out if you feel there may be a fit between us and wish to arrange a session.  If so, I look forward to meeting you and would be honored to help you in your journey.

Thank you and be well.
